Esparity Solar develops bankable, subsidy-free solar projects in Spain and Portugal. Our solar farms produce clean, reliable and affordable power for Spanish energy consumers. Our team brings a track record of developing, constructing and financing 3GW of solar projects globally.
Land and Development
We manage all the Land and Development aspects of a solar farm, including site identification, land acquisition, planning and permitting, local community engagement and all environmental aspects of a project.
Grid Connections
The grid is a fundamental part of any solar farm. We engage with local network operators to ensure our connections are deliverable, reliable and economically viable.
Engineering, Procurement and Construction
We work with a range of EPC companies to deliver the solar farm design, purchase of the equipment and construction of the project. We use bankable counterparties who can demonstrate international track records of building complex projects on time, on budget and to agreed specifications. Where commercially viable, our projects include electricity storage technology.
Power Purchase Agreements
Our projects typically have long-term contracts for the sale of power to investment grade offtakers. This provides our lenders and investors with stable and predictable long-term cash flow. Our offtakers can purchase their solar power economically, sustainably and at a cost which is guaranteed for up to 30 years.
Financing
We work with local and international equity investors and banks to ensure the capital is available to build the project once the development phase is complete. All project documents and contracts are delivered to international project finance standards.
Construction and Asset Management
We work with best-in-class construction and asset managers to oversee and manage the construction of our projects, providing detailed and up to date reporting to all our stakeholders. Once the asset is operational, we ensure a smooth transition from the construction phase. Our asset managers ensure all monitoring, compliance and reporting is provided to meet the needs of the project. Maintenance is both scheduled and preventative, employing the latest technology to ensure the asset operational and financial performance is optimised for the long term.

Landowners
Long term sustainable returns on your land
Esparity provides landowners with a tenant project that delivers long-term diversification and certainty of revenue streams when compared to typical yields from agricultural land. Esparity will sign a long term lease for the sole purposes of a developing, building and operating a ground mounted utility scale solar farm.
Land Requirements
Suitable sites typically meet the following criteria:
– Area exceeds 100 hectares
– Land is flat
– Proximity to a substation or high voltage transmission line
– Free from environmental constraints
The Process
Esparity will initially perform an initial desk based feasibility assessment of the land checking for any development constraints and for proximity to a grid connection point. Following the feasibility assessment a site inspection would be required to view the site and meet with the Landowner(s) to discuss the next phase of moving the development forward.
If developing a solar farm on your land is of interest please email us at info@esparitysolar.com.
Reducing the cost of power
An Esparity Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) allows utilities, traders and large energy users to source electricity from solar power at a price that is locked in for the periods between 10 and 30 years. Esparity funds, designs, develops and delivers connected solar farms to meet the needs of consumers.
Making projects happen
We provide development capital, skills, track record and resources to deliver a greenfield project to shovel ready status. If you have a project you would like to discuss with us please get in touch.
Delivering a bankable long-term investment opportunity
We work with a range of institutional equity investors and lenders to raise the capital required for the construction and long-term ownership of solar farms that are developed to international project finance standards. Our financial partners typically demonstrate a track record in renewable energy project investing. If you would like to discuss working with us please email James@esparitysolar.com.
