  • An increase of up to 42% in renewables over final energy use.
  • 39.54% improvement in energy efficiency.
  • Increase up to 74% of renewable energy in electricity generation.
Involvement with the PNIEC Goals

We support UN Global Compact

In 2021 we face complex challenges related, among other issues, to climate change and human rights. Together with UN Global Compact we share a very ambitious action plan to confront these challenges.

Amongst many new initiatives this year, we can highlight the following:

  • We are committed to internal training as a key element for progress in sustainability.
  • We will share experiences in national and international events.

We are committed to ensuring a transition from words to action, maximising participation and raising our ambition to achieve the goals set out in the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

Planting Trees

We are creating our own forests. So we have committed to a program of tree-planting and offsetting CO2 in partnership with Tree Nation. We aim to promote over 300 species of trees across various locations such as near Granada in Spain.

Tree-Nation brings together and coordinates reforestation initiatives around the world, allowing citizens, companies and planters to participate in the process.

Net Zero Smart Label

We also have a Net Zero Smart Label which is a personalised counter and calculates views of our website and CO2 emissions generated from this. These emissions are offset by the planting of trees. This is important to us because when a website is used the data transferred to remote servers emits energy and accounts for 4% of the world’s air pollution.

Encouraging women to work in the energy sector

We are a member of AEMENER (Spanish association of Women in the Energy Sector) and promote the interests, development and careers of women working in the energy sector. We strive to attain an equal presence of men and women in all areas of the company and more diverse teams. This is done by promoting women’s vocations in the areas of technology, science, mathematics and engineering. It is also achieved by helping employability and strengthening the presence of women in the energy sector at all levels, especially those with greater difficulties.
