Esparity Solar obtains EIS for Serol

14th April 2023:
The Valencian company Esparity Solar has obtained the favourable Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), issued by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, for Serol, a 50 MW photovoltaic solar farm located in the Alicante municipality of Salinas.
Large investments made
The construction and commissioning of the facility will require an investment of around 27 million euros and will generate around 200 jobs during the construction phase.
Esparity Solar has planned the implementation of approximately 506 MW of photovoltaic solar energy installations over the next few months. These projects represent a total investment of around 420 million euros.
Long term plan
The company also currently has a business plan that will bring two gigawatts of renewable energy capacity on stream in Spain over the next few years.
In terms of commercialisation, Esparity plans to sell energy on the deregulated market, but is also negotiating PPA agreements for long-term block sales, recently explained by the company’s CEO, James Sibony.
Esparity, founded in 2017, is owned by a British company, with majority Australian capital.
